My Story

My vocal journey has been a whirlwind!

I had absolutely zero voice training until I got to college. Everything I learned up to that point was pure self discovery and mimicry. This caused me to develop strange habits and meant that I sang every song differently depending on how the original artist sounded.

I had NO CLUE what my voice sounded like.

I was fortune to get accepted into CCM which allowed me to receive incredible voice teaching at one of the best Musical Theatre programs in the world. I learned a lot, and my voice grew exponentially, but I always felt like my voice teachers were speaking a foreign language because it was all so new to me. Some lessons would be amazing and I would make huge discoveries in my voice, but in the next voice lesson, I wouldn’t be able to recreate it.

It was so frustrating!

Two years after graduating college, I discovered One Voice, and for once, SINGING MADE SENSE! I could finally process the sounds I was making. I could pinpoint what changes I was making to produce a certain sound, and I could recreate that sound -

every. single. time.

I had never experienced such clarity and understanding of the voice. Not only did I understand my voice, I also understood how to tackle any vocal challenge I faced and how to make vocal adjustments to achieve the sound I wanted. Now, my mission is to provide that same clarity and understanding to my clients. I want to help my clients have their own vocal breakthroughs were everything makes sense. Once you finally understand your voice, you can begin to make the changes you want to see in your voice.
