My Story
From Imposter to Empowered
As a music director, singing has always been more of an “expertise-adjacent” area for me because I could never quite find a pedagogy that made sense in a way that I could actually execute.
Because I couldn’t create the sounds myself,
I didn’t see how I could possibly teach them to others.
Enter: One Voice.
I now confidently coach singers to explore their fullest vocal potential, which is often far beyond what they imagine they can achieve.
Utilizing One Voice theories in rehearsal as a music director has dramatically increased efficiency and elevated musicality by way of clarity and specificity, particularly with ensemble cohesion. I love to get in the weeds of vocal mechanics to help singers understand how to consistently and reliably create any sound in any style - and find joy in doing it!
